I am an Associate Professor at the Université de Montréal in Canada. My research and teaching is primarily focused on three areas of interest:
the ethnographic research process
popular culture and mass media
theories of intercultural dialogue
I have conducted fieldwork in the D.R. Congo, Senegal, and the Comoros Islands and have published on popular culture, cultural policy, globalization, cross-cultural collaboration and intersubjectivity.
I am currently working with colleagues in Senegal and D.R. Congo on a comparative analysis of cultural policy in French-speaking Africa.
